Package deals. Often you can purchase a movie bundle on Groupon like “tickets for 2 + large popcorn + soda”. Always be sure to check what dates the Groupon can be applied towards, sometimes there’s sneaky restrictions in the fine print. You don’t want to be stuck with a Groupon for tickets you can only use on a weekday when you can’t go!

Movie tickets at Rave 18 at Howard Hughes (Culver City) is only $6 on Tuesdays! (And all Cinemark’s for that matter). Even cheaper with a college ID!
Cinemark also now has a Movie Club. For $8.99/month you get 1 free movie ticket with your membership (with credits that roll over), 20% off the concession stand and waived online processing fees. Each additional movie ticket during the month is also only $8.99.
